The AHA Effect

How do we ever get to know when we have a “light bulb” moment? And what does it take to get there?

I can remember when I was discovering my Blueprint …which is a discovery system of our person on several levels, emotional, mental and spiritual, based on archetypes (which are universal in-born models of people, behaviors or personalities influencing our human behavior. These are archaic forms of innate human knowledge passed down from our ancestors which we use to explore the “Who am I “)

I was in New York and walking back to my hotel after an evening of teaching and working with women who had suffered abuse when I stopped in the middle of the street…I just had my AHA moment!  During the session on such a tough subject matter I had the group laughing at times.  That was very surprising.  I realised that one part, or “body” of my Blueprint is what I call the Entertainer and she(he) is very funny.  I had never seen this in me, yet those around me had all along.  That’s why the abused women group were able to laugh.   That is what I call the “AHA” moment. I got there because I was in a “mellow” state, having been touched by the women I worked with and my defences were down. This allowed me to access an important part of me that I had denied.

Another time I was working with a client, Sharon, in Florida. We had been coaching for about 4 months. She had not felt loved or heard in her life – a tough situation. We worked on this for a while and I’ll never forget the elation on her face the day she realised that what she called Love and so deeply craved, actually was acceptance (of self). The moment was like an explosion!  WOW! Sharon had just had the courage to let go of deep-rooted beliefs that no longer served her. From then on, she became lighter, more joyful…She discovered a new world… I noticed a different spring in her gait. It had taken just a moment of courage and determination and her life changed.  Sharon went on to became, a successful coach in her own right.

Another client, a Regional Financial Manager, George, believed he hated figures – a challenge when you deal with them on a daily basis. We worked on this and the “WHY” of it. After several hours of digging deep, after tears, cursing and persevering through painful moments, he had a revelation. The AHA was that it was not the figures he hated, but the reason why he studied accounting in the first place. He had projected his aversion onto the figures. Once he became aware of this, he was able to connect to the love he actually had for figures (!!!). This liberated him, gave him a sense of freedom he had not had before, and he went on to very become a Senior Regional Director of his company. (Also, this had taken determination to get to the core of the problem and courage…)

When we understand our make-up, our Blueprint, we can let go of so many issues, challenges and beliefs. We gain a deep understanding of our management style, our relationship with money, our relationship with people, our feelings, how we think and why, and our purpose. Then we can begin to be the best we can be, be who we truly are. It is not always a smooth process; however, it is very rewarding. It leads to a fulfilled and successful life on all levels. The “light bulb” moments are key to our freedom. From then on anything is possible.
